Working together

Here are some lovely pictures of students working on projects collaboratively.

These four students are working on an independent maths investigation.

These two students are working on independent writing and reading.  They have been awesome at staying on task!  Great work girls.

We were fortunate to have four Year 10 students from Onslow College help us learn some soccer and touch rugby skills.  This is a great picture of the winning team!

JUBILEE GARDEN PROJECT

Over the holiday break a team from Allworks Ltd transformed our school's front entrance - adding additional paths, enclosing drains and creating gardens. This is the major part of our 150th Jubilee Garden Project and we think it looks great!

Our thanks go to the Johnsonville Charitable Trust, whose generous grant helped make this all happen.

Robotics

This is a photo of Toby and Liam with Lego robot 'Edison'. The boys had programmed the robots to 'sumo wrestle' inside an Edmat - a track and arena for racing and wrestling. It was fun! (Written by Liam)
Nine year 6 students are involved in the robotics extension programme presented by Wellington Loop. For one session each week this term, the students will be working with students from Thorndon and St Bernard's Schools, learning to programme robots and further extending their problem solving, collaboration and coding skills.
