Room 9 Term Two

In Term Two we discovered that a lot of us needed to work on ordering numbers to 20...we played musical numbers.

We listen to some of our favourite songs and have a wee boogie...when the music stops we have to get in order according to the number that we have.  We can then work on what number comes before and after to 20.

We love it!  

Room 9 Term One

In Term One we were learning the letter "Gg"...we went for a walk and discovered sunflowers in our garden.  

There were different types and lots of bees. 

When we got back to class we draw sunflowers and painting them using dye.

100 day in Room 16!

Every day in Room 16 we put a 10c coin in a jar. We count our coins every day and every time we get another 10 we have a special day. On Tuesday the 25th of July we celebrated 100 day, our 100th day at school. We all brought in a collection of 100 things. Here are our cool 100 day collections.

Northern Zone Hockey 27th June

 24 kids, 2 teams, 5th and 6th out of 14 teams, what a fabulous day at the National Hockey Stadium in Newtown.

The Friday Ukelele group

Last term we went to play at Carrigan Early Childhood Centre. We had a fabulous time and loved playing to all the little kiddies.

The amazing authors of Room 7 have created six sentence stories following a set structure. Can you work it out? If you want the real story choose the same number each time. If you want something a little crazy choose any number you desire!!!! What story will you get?

Term 2 Science in Room 14

Term 2 Science

Last term we had so much fun trying out different science experiements. One of our favourites was this colourful rain experiement. We wrote down what we needed for the experiment and the different steps we had to do. We then made predictions on what we thought would happen. Lots of us thought it would explode and overflow. The dye soaked through the shaving foam (clouds) and made colourful rain. Doesn't it look cool?
