Swimming with Easyswim

We have loved our Term 3 lessons with Easyswim instructors.  Our final lesson involved water safety skills.  Here we are in a huddle keeping everyone together.  Thanks Easyswim. Room 7

Inter Zone Cross Country

Luka Wright was our only representative at the Inter Zone Cross Country and we are so proud of her 16th placing.  Luka, you are amazing!!!!

Northern Zone Cross Country

On May 29th our school cross country winners competed at the Northern Zones event.  Our kids were awesome!  It was muddy and cold but they ran like the wind and we were so proud of them.  Well done!

National Young Leaders Day

Recently the whanau house leaders attended National Young Leaders Day (NYLD) at Te Rauparaha Arena in Porirua. It was an inspirational hui for young leaders from around the New Zealand.

The objective of the day was to motivate and empower us to make a positive leadership contribution to our school and inspire us to continue developing leadership skills throughout life.

The event included motivational talks from great New Zealand leaders, question times, videos, music and interactive activities.

The exciting line-up of speakers included Aaron Jackson (actor), Daniel Flynn (co-founder of Thankyou), James Beck (Attitude Programmes for Schools), Kasey & Karena (NZ Masterchef winners), Maree Steunebrink (community leader), Nomad (performer), Te Waka McLeod (The Parenting Place), Trina Tamati (former CEO of NRL Nines), Zane 
Scarborough (spoken word artist) and backstage crew Tony (Epic beatboxer)
